Where We Serve

Kenai is located on the Kenai Peninsula where the world-famous Kenai River meets Cook Inlet.

It is surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife and has a rich history of native and Russian settlements and culture. Kenai is the heart of Alaskan adventure, providing something for everyone. The Kenai River is known for its world-class King Salmon fishing. Kenai industries include oil, natural gas, commercial fishing, and tourism.

What We Do

June 2025 will be the first mission endeavor for Hillcrest to Alaska and specifically Kenai, AK. The Anchor Of Hope Baptist Church was started in 2022 and is a re-plant of what was once the First Baptist Church of Kenai.  Dr. Jim Hamilton is the bi-vocational pastor of Anchor Of Hope and has served the Lord in many different capacities throughout Alaska.  The 2025 mission projects for Hillcrest will include a construction team to build a bathroom for the church Family Life Center and participate in community ministry.  Hillcrest looks forward to future opportunities to serve in Kenai.
